How do I order, and what payment methods are available?

Is the order process secure?

Yes, the order process is extremely secure. Orders are processed by Plimus, a global leader in e-commerce with $18 million in strategic funding, and are secured by Verisign, the trusted provider of Internet infrastructure services for the digital world.

I don't live in the United States, can I pay in my own currency?

Yes, the order page will automatically display the price in your currency.

How will I know if my order has been processed?

We will send you an email notification once your order has been processed.

How will you send me my order?

Your order is delivered to you via electronic download. We will send you full instructions on how to download your order after it's processed.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?

If you paid via credit card or PayPal, your order will be delivered instantly.

If you paid via wire transfer, money order, or PayPal eCheck, your order will be delivered within five business days of receipt of payment.

What happens after I order?

We'll contact you as soon as your order has been processed. Credit card orders are processed immediately, but purchases made via wire transfer, money order, or PayPal eCheck can take up to five business days to process. If you've ordered using one of these payment methods and you haven't heard from us after five business days, please contact Customer Service.

After your order has been processed, you will receive two emails:

  • A purchase receipt email from Plimus, our payment processor.
  • A download instructions email from Otaku Software.

Please allow up to two hours after your order has been processed to receive these emails. If your email account has a spam-filter, these emails may be sent to your junk email folder. If you're using a spam filtering service that requires manual email authorization, such as Spam Arrest, please allow up to one business day to receive these emails.

Both the purchase receipt email and download instructions email contain an order reference number. To download your software:

  1. Visit the Help page.
  2. Enter your order reference number and email address.
  3. Press the Download button.

LICENSING AND UPGRADES

If I want to use a product on my desktop and laptop, do I have to buy two licenses?

No, all our products are licensed for individual-use. This means that you can install and use them on your everyday computers (a desktop and a laptop, for example), but must purchase a separate license for every other person who uses them.

Do I get free upgrades?

Yes, all our products come with free upgrades up to, but not including, version 2.0.

Upgrades to version 2.0 will be free for customers who purchase up to 90 days before the release of version 2.0, and will be available at a discount to customers who purchased the product before then.

How long can I use the product for?

After you buy a product you can use it (and any free upgrades) for as long as you want, and if you need to re-install it you can always re-download it from the Help page. Your license will never expire, and you will never be forced to upgrade.

If I buy a product and I don't like it or it doesn't work on my computer, can I get a refund?

Yes, all our products come with an unconditional 30 day money back guarantee.

AFFILIATES

What's an affiliate?

An affiliate is a sales partner that promotes a product in return for a commission.

As Otaku Software Sales Affiliate you'll receive a 50% commission on each sale you make.

How to do I sign up to become an affiliate?

To sign up as an Otaku Software Affiliate:

  • Visit the Plimus Affiliate Signup Page , sign up as a new user, then click the Submit button.
  • You'll be taken to the Contact Information page. Complete your registration details and click the Submit button.
  • Read the Plimus Vendor Agreement terms and if you agree to them, click the Sign button.
  • You'll be taken to the Payment Method page. Select how you'd like to be paid by Plimus and click the Submit button.
  • You'll now be logged in as an affiliate and will be taken to the Affiliate Information page. Click the Products Catalog button and, when prompted, search for name of the product you'd like to sell (e.g. DeskSpace).
  • You'll now be viewing a list of the available product licenses. Choose the license(s) you'd like to sell by clicking the Sell this product button.
  • You'll then be taken to the Request To Sell Product(s) page. From the drop-down box, pick either the license you selected, or All vendor's products (if you want to be able to sell any of our products). In the comments field write a short description of what you can offer as an affiliate and how you plan on selling and promoting our products, then click the Submit button.
  • You'll then be taken back to the Product Catalog Search page, and Plimus will then notify us that you'd like to become an affiliate. At this point you can logout of the Plimus website.

We'll have a look at your request, and if we like what we see we'll approve it. You'll then receive an email telling you you've been approved, and further instructions on how to start selling our software.

It's up to you how much or little effort you want to put in, although obviously the more work you do the more commission you'll make. There's no restrictions on how much or how little you have to sell, and there's no restrictions on how you sell, with one exception: No Spam. Any affiliate found using spam to try and sell our software will be banned.

That's all there is to it. Once a sale has been made, Otaku Software takes care of delivering the software to the customer and deals with any support issues.
